The battery pack performs exactly as described. Takes 4-5 hours to fully charge and gives you at least 5 hours of

recording time, as long as you are not using an accessory light on the mini-shoe. It is an essential addition as the supplied battery pack gives maybe an hour of time. It would get a "5" if it were not for the extortionist price.

Ordered this battery for the Canon HF100 prior to a long trip and it's simply amazing. It lasted for 5 hours of recording including reviewing and taking still pictures. The vidcam is mated to a class 6 32gb SDHC card and it's an ideal combination in taking HD videos with this battery. The battery does stick out but it's also functional when you're taking videos out from eye level... something to hold onto.

I have a Canon HF S11, and I am thankful I bought this battery. On the highest quality setting (MXP), the battery lasted over 4 hours (it's hard to say exactly how many since I was taking photos plus video). With that kind of capacity, I didn't miss anything.



With the HF S11 camcorder, the battery sticks out by about 1 inch, but the camcorder is so small anyway I don't notice it at all.



This battery is expensive, but it was worth being able to record without worrying about power or toting the battery charger Canon 2590B002 CG-800 Lithium Ion Battery Charger for 800 Series Batteries.

I used this battery on an 11-day nature cruise to Alaska, in a Vixia HF200. The battery reported a recording capacity of just over 300 minutes when fully charged. I had the camera on, pre-recording, for extended periods to catch glaciers calving or whales appearing, but never got below 50 minutes remaining in a day. It recharged overnight in the camera and I never had to switch to my backup BP-809.

I would not purchase anything from this company again. Be Warned.



I purchased SVP Xthinn 8061 directly from the company website. Very excited to get camera for quick photo to computer with recharge battery. I took photos all day and over half came out blurry, over exposed, under exposed. I tried every setting option, macro, regular, flash on, flash off, whatever was in the book. Finally I decide to call SVP, but no phone# anywhere. Not in package, not on website. There a contact page I was directed to a problem page that listed blurry pictures as a problem. I started email through contact page. No response. Three tries later after emailing copies to myself I got a response. They said Dear Customer are you sure? We didn't get any emails. I asked for a phone# or a call from someone. Did not receive either. Then they email a return# and tell me I must pay 25% restocking fee for a camera that doesn't take clear pictures. So look out for this camera. I ship it back @11.65 + 19.99 restocking fee comes to 31.64 for what? This company is cheating people. They are making a business out of restocking fee. I think they are resending returned cameras. They said they only take returns from dealers, yet they are selling cameras directly from their site. Now I notice the cameras are pulled and there is info about problems on line. DO NOT buy from this company. Silicon Valley Peripherals Corp

This is a more sophisticated card than you may be used to so:

1. Use up to date card reader writers when transferring to and from a computer.

2. Do not expect to add to photos already in the card. Start with an erased card and load what you want from the computer in one step.

3. Do not use it to transfer photos/data between computers. Use a separate hard drive for that.

SD1200is takes HD movies, at about 1GB for 10 mins. Unless you plan to shoot HD movies continously for 80 mins on a tripod, you won't run out of space. For photos? A few weeks worth of space, with the camera on all the time and a fully charged spare battery. I don't like the multilevel cardboard / plastic packaging, hard to get into. Make sure you have SD"HC" capable camera, or you won't be able to use all the space, or maybe not even access the unit. Speed is also great. I have a handfull of CF SD units from SanDisk for several different cameras, never had a problem.

I ordered 2 of these 8GB SDHC memory cards and both of them didn't come in retail packaging as stated in the description title. They were put in a static shield bag. Another thing that bothered me is that I was charged $9.44 for standard shipping and the actual shipping was only $1.22. I've contacted the seller but never got a response regarding any of these issue. I haven't tested out the memory cards yet but I hope they work. Let's hope these aren't knockoffs either. I will sure be disappointed.
